Aspen Ladd began her journey into combat sports at the young age of fourteen. She studied boxing, kickboxing and wrestling before she made her debut appearance as an amateur at WCFC before Jaimee Nievera. Ladd then went on to beat three times consecutively at Ultimate Reno Combat. All of the opponents she defeated were defeated within the first five minutes. Following that, she travelled to WCFC to win again, beating Leslie Rodriguez in a unanimous decision. Aspen defeated Silvia Babaeghian and Maddy Simmons before fighting Cynthia Calvillo at WCFC 9. Cynthia gave Aspen an unanimity loss and was able to outclass her, tarnishing Ladd's amateur career. Ladd rebounded from her loss by defeating Roma Pawelek in Tuff-N'-Uff, making her record 8-1. Aspen made her professional debut in 2015 and signed with Invicta FC to make her professional debut. Invicta Fc 11 was her first fight. She dominated Ana Carolina Vidal and won the bout in the the first round via TKO. Invicta took on her in the Bantamweight division and prevailed via armbar submission during the second round. Aspen used superior wrestling to beat McGill in the third round of a TKO. Aspen then fought Jessica Hoy (138.1lb at Invicta FC) as a "catchweight"(138.1lb), because Ladd did not make weight. Aspen, however, defeated Hoy by using TKO. In her last fight for this promotion, Ladd fought Sijara Eubanks in a unanimous decision at Invicta FC 21. Aspen Ladd's UFC debut was on UFC Fight Night 118 when she fought Lina Lansberg. She dominated Lina with the ground and pound strategy, resulting in a TKO second-round victory. The next time she fought Tonya Evinger in UFC 229, her victory was even more stunning. Ladd defeated Evinger within the first few seconds and received a bonus for her performance on the evening. She fought her first big fight in the UFC Fight Night dos Anjos and. Lee rematch against Sijara Ebanks. Ladd's win was a majority decision and she was awarded the Fight of the Night award was awarded to the two fighters. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie defeated Ladd in just 16 seconds, breaking her streak to win. Following a brief break after which she went on to beat Yana Kunizkaya during the UFC's ESPN 7 third-round fight. For a rematch she took on Norma Dumont in her most recent UFC fight. Her defeat was decided by majority verdict.
