Aspen Ladd began her journey into combat sports at the young age of fourteen. She studied boxing, kickboxing and wrestling before she made her debut appearance as an amateur at WCFC before Jaimee Nievera. Aspen Ladd's UFC debut was on UFC Fight Night 118 when she fought Lina Lansberg. She dominated Lina with the ground and pound strategy, resulting in a TKO second-round victory. The next time she fought Tonya Evinger in UFC 229, her victory was even more stunning. Ladd defeated Evinger within the first few seconds and received a bonus for her performance on the evening.
